birds

d found a great hobby while in college- birding. and recently he has been involved in a Heron Count in our county. so as frequently as we can we visit one particular heron nest and document what is going on. yesterday we got to see both the male and female but sadly the babies/eggs are gone. the last time we saw them they were incubating but now they weren't. so hopefully they get the chance to have some more babies but for now its awesome to see they are still there.

they aren't the prettiest of birds but it is amazing to have a purpose while birding to watch these two make a family.
p.s. this was meant to post yesterday whoops
